About the Guitar Pack

The Ashton entry level classical (nylon string) series of guitars represent excellent value for money and over the years this range has been one of Musos Corner’s biggest sellers to schools and individual students. These guitars are perfect for beginner students and the four sizes 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 4/4 ensure there is the right guitar for learners of any size and age.

We do recommend purchasing a guitar stand as well for protection and to have your guitar out ready to go at all times

The Guitar
A nylon string (1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 4/4) sized guitar with an easy to play action and a soft nylon string feel which is perfect for beginners. The bottom (lower) three strings are a nylon core with a nickel wrap whilst the other 3 top strings are pure nylon. The strings are a standard tension set again allowing for ease of play.
A range of fun colours are available in all sizes including Pink (PK), Blue (TBB), Red (TRB), Purple (TP) Black (BK) and Amber (AM) which is a natural wood finish.
The guitars feature linden timber for the back and sides and maple neck and fingerboard for strength and tone.

The Bag
Which ever size Ashton classical you choose it will come in a custom fitting bag for protection and easy transportation.

The guitar has all the strings on it, factory set up for playing. it will just need a tune up prior to playing.

The Tuner
A battery operated electronic tuner is included with handy settings not just for guitar, you can also set this to bass, banjo, violin, ukulele and even chromatic (all notes) if you want to get creative with tuning or are playing with brass players.

The Capo
A capo allows you to change the key of a song by creating a bar along the neck on whatever fret position you need. This is great for beginners as you can still play all the open chords you learn first and move the capo to switch key without having to learn new shapes.

The Strap and End Pin
A tough Aussie made strap with leather ends is included which is essential for playing standing up or handy to support the guitar for younger players whilst seated. The end pin will attach via screw to the bottom the body of the guitar which is a reasonably easy process, however, if you are unsure about this we can affix this for you.

The Picks and Pick Holder
Three picks are included to get you off to the best start possible. If you are learning with picks please take note they are notoriously easy to loose and will end up in the washing machine. To help you with this, we have also included a pick holder for storage which can affix to the guitar or where ever you want.

What Size is best?

While there is not a single size or approach that fits all, but here is a handy guide for how to chose the right size guitar. It’s often better to aim for a slightly larger guitar than smaller so the player can grow into the guitar.
